RIDGE TO REEF
ARK's Ridge to Reef Programme has the sole purpose of bringing communities together and facilitating public projects that help reduce localised flooding, island erosion and sedimentation in nearshore coastal waters.
The SeaSweep & SwampSweep projects have recently been added to the Ridge to Reef programme as an effort to clean up coastal habitats following the events of 2017 .

What is Ridge to Reef?
The ‘ridge to reef” concept is a holistic approach that takes into consideration all the environments from the top of a mountain down past the shoreline to the coral reefs fronting the land. It encompasses the multi-dimensional environmental, socio-cultural and economic characteristics of communities existing within a geographically shared area, a 'watershed'. |
